Our story.

The insight

Our vision.

A more inclusive creative industry.

Through platforms that are built by young creatives, to serve young creatives.

Why the creative industry?

We support young creatives specifically, because the industry is growing exponentially. In 2020, government statistics revealed that the UK’s creative industries are growing five times faster than the national economy. Yet facilities and equipment are expensive, communities are hard to build, and knowledge and mentoring is hard to access. This means there are lots of barriers that are stopping young creatives from the beginning, especially those from less privileged backgrounds. This is represented by more research that shows only 7% of employees in the creative industries are from a minority ethnic group and only 1 in 4 are female.

The Founders Story

A couple brought together through their shared passion for giving back

Batuala Alexander, Co-Founder & CEO

Born and raised in Kentish Town, Batuala spent 10 years of his professional career at Nike. He started as a part time sales assistant and worked his way up, from store to UK HQ, he then moved over to Amsterdam to the Nike EMEA HQ. Batuala did various different roles over his 10 year tenure, from retail, product, consumer education to lastly working in marketing with the EMEA Jordan Brand. In 2019, he left Nike to move back to London and start his own business, InZone Agency, where they work with youth centred cultural brands to connect them closer to their consumer and help tell impact driven stories.

Franci Viviana, Co-Founder & Creative Director

Also born and raised in Camden, Franci has always had a love for fashion. After graduating from University of the Arts London, she spent a few years working in property. But soon found her way back to creativity, when she started working at Nike with the EMEA Sneakers team. While joining Batuala to start InZone Agency, Franci also continued working with Nike within merchandising and styling, before going fully freelance. Since then she has done multiple styling, interior design and creative director projects that feed her soul. Not to mention being an absolute boss of a mother!
