What is a major gift?

Creators House is incredibly grateful for any donation. We define a major supporter as anyone who has pledged or given £5,000 or more in philanthropic support.

Who we are

Creators House is a not-for-profit CIC organisation that empowers and supports young creatives from underserved and underrepresented backgrounds, especially young creatives from ethnic background, who are disproportionately more likely to be discriminated against and have more barriers to opportunities within the creative industry.

Our Why.

We support young creatives specifically, because the industry is growing exponentially. In 2020, government statistics revealed that the UK’s creative industries are growing five times faster than the national economy. Yet facilities and equipment are expensive, communities are hard to build, and knowledge and mentoring is hard to access. This means there are lots of barriers that are stopping young creatives from the outset, especially those from less privileged backgrounds.

Our Duty.

Creators House was born out of a duty to give back and help empower a community that is largely unprivileged and underrepresented. Batuala Alexander, founder and CEO of Creators House, grew up in a disadvantaged area with a lack of opportunities for young people which has driven him to ensure the next generation in his community have the support they need to become the best versions of themselves.

Our Impact.

Our big audacious goal is to impact 1,000,000 young people across London and other European cities within 5 years. With our passion and commitment to improving young people’s lives, we are confident we will get there.
